This piece was based on a sketch done on an hike in the Staircase area of Olympic National Park, which has since been burned by wildfire. Mossy green and earth toned trees reach across a small waterfall illuminated in a beam of pink light. Tree roots merge seamlessly into rock formations through overlapping forms and layers.

This painting is done on canvas and framed in a custom stained oak floating frame. It is wired, signed and titled on the back.
